Laboratory tests

Eurofins Agroscience Services offer you a wide range of standardized TIER I laboratory studies, performed according to the recent IOBC/WPRS guidelines, with parasitoids (Aphidius rhopalosiphi, Trichogramma cacoeciae), predatory mites (Typhlodromus pyri), aphidophagous predators (Chrysoperla carnea, Coccinella septempunctata) and anthocorid bugs (Orius laevigatus). Test organisms are exposed to treated glass surfaces. Studies are designed as limit tests or dose response tests including LD50 determination.

Limit test

One to three concentrations are used with a control and a reference. These treatments are tested with a higher number of organisms to confirm the harmlessness of the test item.

Dose response test

Range finder:
5 concentrations are used with a control and a reference to check the sensitivity of the specimens to the test item. These treatments are tested with a reduced number of organisms.
Main test LD50:
5 concentrations are used with a control and a reference to draw a dose response curve for the specimens. LD50 is calculated if requested.

Multiple dose test

Less than 5 concentrations are used with a control and a reference. These treatments are tested with a higher number of specimens.
